Honolulu police are actively seeking the motorist responsible for a hit-and-run accident in Aiea that resulted in a serious injury to a moped rider. According to reports, a 42-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on Kamehameha Highway around 2:45 a.m. when she was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.

The collision caused her to be thrown onto the road. The driver did not stop to assist or provide any information and continued traveling eastbound on the highway. Emergency medical personnel treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to a hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
