HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaiian Airlines is set to expand its international offerings with new nonstop flights connecting Seattle to Japan and Tahiti next year. The airline announced that it will commence year-round service to Osaka from Seattle on May 14, 2027, followed by nonstop flights to Papeete beginning June 11, 2027.
The Osaka route will have four flights each week, while the Papeete route will operate three times a week. Both services will utilize Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A330 aircraft. This new addition to the combined network of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines will provide the only nonstop flights from Seattle to both cities. Hawaiian Airlines currently provides nonstop flights from Honolulu to both Osaka and Papeete as well.
Alaska Air Group President and CEO Ben Minicucci commented on the expansion, stating, “We are building an airline that connects the Pacific Northwest to more of the world, and we know our guests will be excited to have convenient access to Osaka and Papeete from Seattle.” Tickets for these routes are already being sold, with introductory round-trip fares starting at $1,199 to Osaka and $999 to Papeete, valid through October 26, 2027, subject to availability. However, the new routes will require government approval before launching.
