Viral videos help boost Lahaina Tacos sales

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A taco shop owner in Honolulu has experienced a significant increase in sales attributed to viral videos he shared on social media. Pedro Haro, who runs Lahaina Tacos with his family, relocated the restaurant from Maui to Pioneer Plaza in Honolulu following the devastating wildfires in 2023.

Recently, Haro began posting engaging videos on Instagram that feature his eatery, utilizing trending social media styles. According to Haro, the results have been impressive, with sales reportedly doubling since the videos went live. He expressed surprise at the widespread attention, receiving comments from viewers in countries like Poland, Tanzania, New Zealand, and Japan. Haro noted, “It’s been overwhelming and wonderful” and added his family was equally amazed by the shop’s newfound popularity. He has aspirations to eventually bring Lahaina Tacos back to Maui and expand the team. Currently, the restaurant operates from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and customers can order merchandise and food online.
