HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An aide working on Governor Josh Green’s campaign has submitted a police report after a confrontation with a supporter of Republican candidate Gary Cordery. This incident occurred on Tuesday morning while Green was participating in a sign-waving event on the median of Vineyard Boulevard.
During the confrontation, a video captured Joshua Marquez attempting to move past the aide to direct a question at Green, during which he made a derogatory comment. Following the altercation, the Cordery campaign publicly supported Marquez’s actions, emphasizing the need for leaders to engage with public concerns. Previous complaints regarding harassment involving Cordery have also surfaced, particularly during the pandemic when he organized protests outside Green’s residence. Cordery’s response to questions about his role in any harassment was dismissive.
